Dwyane Wade visited Canada for the final time as the Miami Heat lost the Toronto Raptors 117-109 at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday. The Heat, who reached a season-high four-game losing streak, are on the edge of playoff elimination. The Raptors swept the four-game season series against the Heat.
Miami(38-42) scored seven straight points and nine of the last 11 points at the end of the first quarter to go up 26-25. The Heat got on a 13-2 run to move ahead 49-36 with 5:11 left in the second quarter. They had a 57-50 lead at halftime.
Toronto(57-24) still trailed 79-78 after three quarters. It stayed close throughout the fourth quarter between both clubs and they were tied 103-103 at the end of regulation. The Raptors outscored the Heat 14-6 in overtime for the victory.
Wade was the leading scorer for Miami with 21 points. James Johnson dropped in 18 points and Dion Waiters put in 17 points. Pascal Siakam had a game-high 23 points along with 10 rebounds for a double-double for Toronto. Kawhi Leonard also added 22 points.
