The Treasure Coast Titans travel down I-95 and face the Cardinal Newman Crusaders at Sam Budnyk Field in West Palm Beach on Thursday night. Both teams are likely to participate in the 2019 postseason.
Treasure Coast(6-1) lost a close game to Vero Beach 31-30 last week for the District 9-8A title. They started the season with six consecutive wins over Winter Haven, Monsignor Pace, Jensen Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Pierce Central and South Fork. The Titans, who have scored 30 points in every game, look to mount a rushing attack. They will lean on quarterback Jonius Watkins along with running backs Sean Miller, Joey Fleurjuste, Eden James and Keegan Davis.
Cardinal Newman(5-1) have been victorious in their last three games over Melbourne Central Catholic, St. John Paul II and Clewiston. They have not lost a game at home this year. Quarterback Austin Wallace looks to lead the Crusaders offense. They will split their rushing opportunities with running backs Chris D'Or and Jaydon Hood.
