The Chaminade-Madonna Lions take on the Calvary Christian Eagles in Fort Lauderdale on Friday night. The two top seeds from Region 4 in Class 3A will battle it out for the regional championship.

The two-time defending FHSAA Class 3A state champions have outscored their last three opponents 135-7. Their two losses this year were by a combined 22 points. Thaddius Franklin can line up in the wildcat formation as a quarterback or be plugged in as a running back. They have a slew of wide receivers with Joshua Jenkins, Rony Bourdeau, Bralon Brown, Donovan Desir and Brian Dilworth. They have a choice at quarterback with Alexander Law and Brady Kelly.
Calvary Christian(10-1) survived last week in the second round with a 14-7 victory over Edison. They began the regular season with eight consecutive wins. The Eagles have outscored their opponents 290-113 this season. Quarterback Gabe Contento looks to connect passes to wide receivers Gregory Janvier and Aleksei Kuzmin. Their rushing attack will be handled by running backs Emmanuel Joseph, Eric Trowbridge, Evan Pierce and Marquette Cozart.
