The Miami Heat made a stop in Cleveland and trampled the Cavaliers 108-97 at Quicken Loans Arena on Thursday night. The Heat return home on Saturday to face the New Orleans Pelicans.
Miami(8-3) jumped out to 34-22 lead after one quarter and stayed ahead 68-44 at halftime. Cleveland(4-7) made up some ground and trailed 94-74 at the end of three quarters. The Cavs put up a 14-4 run to begin the final quarter and they were down by 10 points, however it was the closest they came to the lead.
Kendrick Nunn had a team-high 23 points and eight assists for the Heat. Bam Adebayo got a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Tyler Herro dropped in 16 points and Jimmy Butler added 14. Kevin Love compiled a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland.
