The Miami Heat stopped the Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors 122-105 on Friday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat have won seven of their last nine games. The Warriors dropped to the worst record in the National Basketball Association.
Miami(13-5) dominated the opening quarter and held a 41-21 lead. Golden State(4-16) chopped slightly into the deficit and trailed 71-58 at halftime. The Heat were able to hold off the Warriors during the second halftime.
Goran Dragic dropped in a team-high 20 points for Miami. Tyler Herro contributed 19 points while Jimmy Butler had 16 points and six assists. Jordan Poole drained in 20 points for the Warriors.
