Chase Briscoe won the NASCAR Xfinity Racing Series Contender Boats 250 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday. Briscoe got his fifth career victory and prevailed for the third time this year.
It was the second NASCAR Xfinity Racing Series event held at that racetrack in the last two days. That circuit had never run on consecutive days at the same place.
Ryan Sieg took Stage 1 while Noah Gragson captured Stage 2 of the event. Both race car drivers also won the same exact stages in the Xfinity Racing Series on Saturday. It was the fifth winning stage for Gragson in the 2020 season.
For the second straight day, Gragson had a dominate hold in the third stage. He had a 5.93 second lead with 45 laps remaining. Briscoe was able to cut the lead down to 0.68 with three laps to go. Austin Cindric had car trouble to bring out a caution with almost one lap left and the race went into overtime.
The race would go into double overtime after a another caution in overtime. Briscoe stayed on the inside lane and raced two laps to take the victory.
