The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders stomped the Atlantic Eagles 63-14 at Brian Piccolo Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Friday night in a FHSAA Class 3M regional semifinal game. The Raiders, who have not lost a home playoff game since 2003, will host either the Dillard Panthers or the Blanche Ely Tigers in the regional final.
St. Thomas Aquinas(11-0) rocketed out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. STA continued to roll with 2 unanswered points during the second quarter. Atlantic(8-4) broke the shutout with less than one minute left in the first half. The Raiders returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and led 49-6 at halftime.
