The #5 University of Miami Hurricanes knocked off by the #4 Indiana University Hoosiers 85-69 in the Midwest Region second round of the 2023 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Sunday night in Albany, New York. The Hurricanes advanced to the Sweet 16 and will face the top seed University of Houston on Friday night in Kansas City. The U reached the third round in consecutive seasons for the first time in school history.
Miami rolled out to a 13-3 lead in the first four minutes of the contest. They held onto a 40-35 lead in at halftime. The Canes could not hold a 13-point lead and Indiana tied it 51-51 near the midway point of the second half. The Hurricanes scored 12 straight points and were up 63-51 with 8:13 to go. They led 75-60 with 3:15 left in the contest.
