The Florida Panthers have released center Mark Letestu from his professional tryout offer. He was given the opportunity to join the Panthers preseason camp several weeks ago. Letestu recently played with the Columbus Blue Jackets and began his NHL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Florida dwindled their roster to 32 players due to their decision on Monday. Right wing Owen Tippett was sent back to his junior team in the Ontario Hockey League which is the Missassauga Steelheads. Defenseman Riley Stillman and goalie Samuel Montembeault were both assigned to the Panthers American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield.
