The Miami Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-1 in 10 innings on Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park. It was the first game of a four-game series between both clubs.
Philadelphia(13-12) broke out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Sean Rodriguez homered to right-center field on a 0-1 pitch.
The Marlins tied it up in the top of the third. Martin Prado knocked in Lewis Brinson with a single into center field.
Miami(8-17) took their first lead of the contest in the 10th inning on a two-out rally. Neil Walker doubled into deep left field. Starlin Castro followed and smacked a home run to left field on a 2-2 count.
