The Miami Heat took care of the Detroit Pistons 117-108 on Tuesday night at American Airlines Arena. It was the first game for the club in four days and followed a three-game road swing. The Heat are now 4-0 at home this season.
Miami(7-3) jumped out with a 14-2 run and led 28-17 at the end of the first quarter. The Heat extended their lead to 33-17 early in the second and were out in front 59-37 at halftime. Detroit(4-8) could not cut the deficit and trailed 92-72 after three quarters.
Jimmy Butler compiled a double-double for the Heat with 20 points and 13 assists. Kendrick Nunn dropped in 20 points and Goran Dragic added 18 points. Bam Adebayo put together 18 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double. Luke Kennard had a team-high 22 points for the Pistons.
