The Houston Rockets beat the Miami Heat 117-108 at Toyota Center on Wednesday night. The Heat return to Miami and face the defending Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors on Friday.
Houston(12-6) began the contest up 27-23 at the end of the first quarter and outscored the Heat by 20 points in the second to go ahead 66-42 at halftime. Miami(12-5) were still behind by 23 points at the end of three quarters and had a 40-26 scoring advantage in the final frame.
The Heat got a team-high 22 points from Tyler Herro. Bam Adebayo fell short of a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. Kelly Olynyk was able to contribute 19 points. James Harden had a game-high 34 points and six rebounds for the Rockets. Russell Westbrook added 27 points and nine rebounds and seven assists.
