The ratings were issued for sports talk radio stations in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale region. The time span went from the first week of January to the first week of February.
AM 560 Sports WQAM-AM remained at a 1.1 for the third straight time. The Florida Panthers stayed near the top of the National Hockey League standings. The Miami Dolphins fell short of reaching the NFL postseason. The University of Miami Hurricanes basketball team has performed above average during their season.
Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM dropped down from a 0.4 to a 0.3 in the period. It was the lowest ratings for them since July 2020 when they had a 0.2. Piping in CBS Sports Radio Network and BetQL Network during weekdays has not helped. The Miami Heat were one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
Fox Sports 940 WINZ-AM lost more than half of their audience since the holiday season and ended up at a 0.1. It was their lowest ratings for that radio station since January 2021. They have no local shows on their schedule and continued with the University of Florida Gators basketball season.
It's sad what they have done to 790. Just hope they don't eventually change formats away from sports
