Vernon Carey Jr. Traded

     Former Broward County high school basketball player Vernon Carey Jr. was traded by the Charlotte Hornets to the Washington Wizards in a three-player deal. He was limited to 23 games during his first two seasons in the NBA and averaged two points per game along with 1.3 rebounds per game. 

     Carey played high school basketball with University School and later attended Duke University. He was considered the best basketball player in South Florida while in high school.
