Reds Attack Marlins

The Miami Marlins started a six-game road trip as they fell to the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 at Great American Ball Park on Friday night. The Marlins began a stretch in which they play 22 of their next 32 games on the road. The Reds entered the contest with the worst record in Major League Baseball.
Cincinnati(8-24) did all their scoring in the first inning as they put up four runs against Marlins starting pitcher Wei-Yin Chen. Eugenio Suarez smashed a three-run homer to left field on a 1-2 pitch with one out to make it 3-0. Adam Duvall came up next and hit a solo home run to right field on a 1-1 count.
Miami(11-20) placed their only run in the top of the fifth. Lewis Brinson lifted a solo homer to center field on a 2-2 pitch from Reds starting pitcher Sal Romano.
