Sergei Bobrovsky Goes To Maple Leafs
Sergei Bobrovsky will not return to the Florida Panthers. He has signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
It ends a seven-season reign with Bobrovsky as the Panthers starting goalie from 2019-20 to 2025-26. He led Florida to back-to-back Stanley Cup titles during 2024 and 2025 along with three straight Eastern Conference championships from 2023 to 2025. The team also won the Presidents' Trophy in 2022.
Devon Levi Dealt To Oilers
The Buffalo Sabres have traded goalie Devon Levi and a 2028 seventh-round selection to the Edmonton Oilers for a 2028 third-round pick. He played 39 games with the Sabres from 2022-23 to 2024-25 and had a 17-17-2 record with a 3.29 goals-against-average.
Levi was selected by the Florida Panthers in the seventh round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He was dealt by the Panthers to the Sabres for Sam Reinhart in July 2021.
Panthers Extend Sandis Vilmanis
The Florida Panthers have given left wing Sandis Vilmanis a two-year extension. It will go into effect at the start of the 2027-28 season.
Vilmanis broke into the National Hockey League last season with the Cats. He ended up with three goals and two assists for five points in 19 games with Florida in 2025-26.
Noel Acciari Lands With Flyers
One-time Florida Panthers center Noel Acciari has signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. The deal turns out to be worth $5.6 million.
Acciari spent three seasons with Florida from 2019-20 to 2021-22. He chalked up 27 goals and 19 assists for 46 points in 127 games with the Panthers. The Cats captured the Presidents' Trophy during his final season with the club.
Vitek Vanecek Goes To Islanders
Former Florida Panthers goalie Vitek Vanecek is headed to the New York Islanders. He was with the Utah Mammoth last season.
Vanecek was traded by the San Jose Sharks to the Panthers in March 2025. He participated in seven regular seasons games with the Cats and was their backup goalie when they won the Stanley Cup in 2025.
Ducks Adds Noah Juulsen
The Anaheim Ducks have inked defenseman Noah Juulsen to a two-year deal that is worth $2.2 million. He spent last season with the Philadelphia Flyers with career-highs of nine assists and 10 points during his 52-game stint.
Juulsen was with the Florida Panthers for one season in 2020-21. He finished up with no points in four contests with the club.
Ryan Lomberg Shifts To Blue Jackets
One-time Florida Panthers left wing Ryan Lomberg has signed a two-year contract worth $2.6 million with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He spent the last two seasons with the Calgary Flames.
Lomberg was with Florida for four seasons from 2020-21 until 2023-24. He ended up with 28 goals and 21 assists for 49 points in 246 contests with the Cats. He was a part of the Panthers team when they captured their first Stanley Cup title in franchise history in 2024.
Mason Marchment Swims With Sharks
Former Florida Panthers left wing Mason Marchment is about to ink a five-year deal worth $35 million with the San Jose Sharks. His father Bryan Marchment was with the Sharks for six seasons.
Marchment played for Florida in 2020-21 and 2021-22. He chalked up 20 goals and 37 assists for 57 points in 87 contests with the Panthers.
Mackie Samoskevich Agrees With Kraken
Former Florida Panthers right wing Mackie Samoskevich has agreed to a new three-year contract with the Seattle Kraken that is worth $11.55 million. He was traded by the Panthers to the Kraken last week for a 2026 first-round selection.
Samoskevich spent his three-season NHL career with Florida and contributed to them taking the Stanley Cup title in 2025. He compiled 27 goals and 36 assists for 63 points in 156 games with the Panthers.
Erik Haula Moves To Kings
One-time Florida Panthers center Erik Haula is joining the Los Angeles Kings. It is expected to be a multi-year deal between him and the club.
He had a short stint with the Panthers in the 2019-20 season after being traded by the Carolina Hurricanes along with Eetu Luostarinen to the Cats for Vincent Trocheck. Haula ended up with two assists for two points in seven contests with Florida.
Panthers Ink Radko Gudas
The Florida Panthers will be keeping defenseman Radko Gudas. He has signed a six-year contract that is worth $9 million.
It will continue the second stint for Gudas with the Panthers organization. Florida acquired his signing rights earlier this week from the Anaheim Ducks for the signing rights to A.J. Greer.
Gudas was with the Panthers for three seasons from 2020-21 until 2022-23. He helped the Cats win the Eastern Conference championship in 2023 and reach the Stanley Cup Final.
He participated with the Ducks for three seasons from 2023-24 to 2025-26. Gudas would eventually be named their captain.
Panthers Extending Eetu Luostarinen
The Florida Panthers have extended the contract of left wing Eetu Luostarinen. It is a eight-year, $40 million deal that will go until the 2034-35 season.
He broke into the National Hockey League with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2019-20. He was traded to the Panthers for center Vincent Trocheck in February 2020.
Luostarinen has been on the Panthers roster for the past six seasons since the 2020-21 campaign. He has 61 goals and 100 assists for 161 points in 439 games. Florida have captured two Stanley Cup titles, three Eastern Conference champions and one Presidents' Trophy during his tenure with the club.
Norman Powell Heading To Bulls
Former Miami Heat guard Norman Powell will be signing a two-year deal with the Chicago Bulls. The contract is expected to be worth $45 million.
Powell was acquired by the Heat in a three-team trade from the Los Angeles Clipper in July 2025. He was named to the NBA All-Star Game for the first time while with Miami last season. Powell averaged 21.7 points per game in his only season in a Heat uniform.
Nick Cousins Stays With Senators
The Ottawa Senators have re-signed left wing Nick Cousins to a two-year deal worth $3.175 million. He has been there for the last two seasons.
Cousins was with the Florida Panthers for two seasons in 2022-23 and 2023-24. He captured one Stanley Cup championship and two Eastern Conference titles with the team. Cousins compiled 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points in 148 games with Florida.
John Collins Signing With Pistons
Former Palm Beach County high school basketball player John Collins is expected head to the Detroit Pistons. He will ink a three-year contract with that club that is worth $51 million.
Collins played high school basketball with the Cardinal Newman Crusaders in West Palm Beach. After a stop at Wake Forest University, he had NBA stints with the Atlanta Hawks, Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers
Mark Letestu On Golden Knights Staff
Mark Letestu has been named an assistant coach with the Vegas Golden Knights. He was the head coach of Colorado Eagles in the American Hockey League last season. Letestu was an assistant coach with Cleveland Monsters for four seasons prior to that.
Letestu signed a professional tryout offer with the Florida Panthers back in early September 2018. He was released the PTO that during training camp.
