Michael Irvin will begin the Playmaker Production Group in the near future. It is unknown what it will consist of, but podcasting is a likely venture.
Irvin played wide receiver for the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders in high school, the University of Miami Hurricanes in college football and the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. He captured a national championship with the Hurricanes in 1987 and three Super Bowl titles with the Cowboys.
He entered broadcasting with Fox Sports Net as a panelist on the The Best Damn Sports Show Period.
It led to work as an studio analyst at ESPN. He had the same position at NFL Network from 2009 until May 2024. He was panelist on Undisputed and an NFL studio analyst on Fox Sports 1 from August 2023 to August 2024.
Irwin did have some radio experience. He started as a midday host at KESN-FM in Dallas. Irvin was a midday co-host on 560 WQAM-AM from July 2010 until July 2012.
