Heat And Panthers Home Conflicts
The schedules of the Miami Heat and Florida Panthers have been issued for the 2019-20 regular season. There seems to be less conflicts with both clubs hosting contests on the same day since 2005.
They play at home on the same night for the first time on November 14. Both teams show the most conflicts in the month of December. They play the same night on December 6, December 8, December 20 and December 28. The only time both teams conflict in the final three months of the regular season is on February 29 and March 14.
Some factors result in limited conflicts. The Panthers play a large amount of home games on 14 Saturdays and 12 Thursdays. Florida has two home games only on Fridays and none on Wednesdays.
The Heat are not on national television as much as they have been in previous seasons. Miami plays seven games on Fridays and seven games on Saturdays. The Heat have eight games on Wednesdays and two games on Thursdays.

West Palm Beach Ratings July 2019
The West Palm Beach area had their sports format radio stations figures released. The only major change in the market was that ESPN West Palm 106.3 WUUB-FM, who does not subscribe to a ratings service, lost the radio rights for Florida Atlantic University athletics to competitor 640 The Hurricane WMEN-AM at the end of the period.
640 The Hurricane remained at a 0.3 for the month. The New York Yankees jumped to the best record in American League. It was a surprise that they did not have a positive bump.
Sports Radio 1230 The Zone WBZT-AM stayed at a 0.0 for the 11th consecutive month. It has been tough for them to get any traction when they broadcast the Miami Marlins. The team is in last place in the National League and have an unrealistic chance to reach the postseason.

WQAM Eliminates Midday Show
Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM has stopped their midday show co-hosted by Alex Donno and Josh Friedman. No word who will replace the program, however the CBS Sports Radio Network was piped into the spot on Friday.
Donno will continue as the University of Miami Hurricanes Radio Network as their studio host and co-host Fight Night with Frank Zaffare. Friedman was let go by the station due to cost cutting.
The Donno and Friedo Show was implemented by the station back in December 2018. It combined both evening hosts from their sister stations WQAM and Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM.
Donno, a 2007 University of Miami grad, began his professional broadcast career with 790 The Ticket as an intern, producer and reporter. He was later elevated to MMA weekend host and afternoon sports anchor.
He left for WQAM in July 2012 and became a Saturday morning MMA host and midday sports anchor. After a seven-month tenure as a midday co-host with Brandon Guzio, he was moved to host evenings August 2014 and held that post until December 2018. Donno was named the Florida Panthers Radio Network studio host prior to the 2014-15 season and stayed there until this past December. Donno became the Miami Hurricanes Radio Network studio host in 2017.
Friedman, an Indiana University grad, finished off his second reign at WQAM. He worked at a Chicago sports radio station prior to his arrival in Miami. Friedman joined WQAM as a producer and became the Florida Marlins reporter for the organization in 1998. He left them in May 2003 and worked for Metro Networks for the next two years as their Miami sports reporter.
He landed at 790 The Ticket in December 2005 and reported on the Florida Marlins, Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat. He later was elevated to weekend host. Friedman became the evening host on that station in April 2014 and was there until December 2018.
