Pete Rose Dead

Baseball legend Pete Rose passed away on Monday at the age of 83. Rose holds the Major League Baseball records for the most hits and most games played in a career. He is also known for receiving a lifetime ban from baseball in 1989 due to gambling on MLB games.
Rose once lived in the Boca Raton area and had business interests in South Florida. He owned two Pete Rose Ballpark Cafe sports themed restaurants in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach in the 1990s and 2000s. The Boca Raton site opened up in 1992 on Glades Road and closed in 2010. He added a Boynton Beach location on Congress Avenue and it shut down in 2005.
He was part of the broadcasting field during the 1990s and 2000s. He hosted his own weekday show on Sportsfan Radio Network from the dining area of his Boca Raton restaurant.
