Heat Pummel Nuggets

      It was a rematch of the 2023 NBA Finals as the Denver Nuggets were pounded by the Miami Heat 147-123 at Kaseya Center on Monday night. The Heat played in their final game of the 2025 calendar year.
      Miami(18-15) raced out to a 41-29 lead after one quarter. Denver(22-10) mounted a comeback during the second quarter and both clubs were tied 63-63 by the time they reached halftime. 
      The Heat went on a 26-11 run to begin the second half and led 110-99 by the end of the third quarter. Miami extended their margin to 20 points during the final quarter. 
      Norman Powell finished with a game-high 25 points for the Heat. They had bench scoring as Nikola Jovic dropped in 22 points and Jaime Jaquez Jr. put in 20 points. Andrew Wiggins and Kel'el Ware placed in 19 points each. Bam Adebayo had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. 
      Nikola Jokic ended up short of a double-double for the Nuggets with 21 points and eight assists. Jamal Murray compiled 20 points with 11 assists while Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 16 points.
