Afternoon co-host and afternoon sports anchor Alejandro Solana was named the new assistant branding manager on October 2 taking over for their departed longtime program director Len Weiner. The University of Miami Hurricanes football team was undefeated to start the 2026 season with a 6-0 record with their next game against the Florida State University Seminoles. The Florida Panthers opened up the 2026-27 regular season. The Miami Heat were playing in the preseason. The Miami Marlins were eliminated from contention to get into the postseason and completed their season.
Fox Sports 940 WINZ-AM rose from a 0.3 to a 0.4 in the period. The Miami Dolphins began the 2025 season winless after five contests with a 0-5 record.
