St. Thomas Aquinas Shuts Out McArthur

     The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders destroyed the McArthur Mustangs 48-0 on Simmons Family Field at Brian Piccolo Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Friday night. It renewed the Broward County rivalry between both teams. 
     St. Thomas Aquinas(7-0) jumped.out to a 7-0 advantage in the first quarter. McArthur(3-4) was down 17-0 at halftime on a Raiders field goal and a touchdown in the second quarter. STA chalked up 31 more points during the second half.

Royal Palm Beach Bounces Palm Beach Gardens

     The Royal Palm Beach Wildcats easily downed the Palm Beach Gardens Gators 40-0 on Friday night at Palms West Hospital Community Stadium. It was a battle for first place in District 12-5A between both Palm Beach County schools looking to make the FHSAA postseason. 
     Royal Palm Beach(6-1, 3-0) will host local district rival the Seminole Ridge Hawks in a week. Palm Beach Gardens(3-4, 2-1) will visit another district foe the South Fork Bulldogs next week. 

Heat Punch Pelicans

     The Miami Heat socked the New Orleans Pelicans 128-118 at Kaseya Center on Thursday night. It was the Heat's first preseason home game. 
     Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis and Tim Hardaway Jr. made their home debut with the club. The Heat will open up the 2026-27 regular season later this month.

West Palm Beach Ratings September 2026

     The ratings were released to West Palm Beach sports talk radio stations. The time span went from the third week of August to the third week of September. 
     ESPN West Palm 106.3 WESP-FM shifted to a 0.5 following two months at a 0.7. They saw the University of Miami Hurricanes start out with a 2-0 record. WESP became a radio affiliate of the Buffalo Bills Radio Network in mid-August. Inter Miami CF was among one of the top three Major League Soccer clubs in the Eastern Conference standings.
     Fox Sports 640 South Florida WMEN-AM remained at a 0.4 for the fourth straight month. After a season-opening loss to the Florida Gators in Gainesville, the Florida Atlantic University Owls football team got by American Conference contender Navy in Boca Raton. 
     Sports Radio 1230 The Gambler WBZT-AM stayed at a 0.0 for the sixth consecutive month. The Miami Marlins were close to be eliminated from postseason contention. 

Miami Central Decimates Key West

     The Miami Central Rockets dominated the Key West Conchs 63-7 at Traz Powell Stadium on Thursday night. It was a District 16-3A clash between both high schools. The Conchs made the long trip from the Florida Keys to Miami.
     Key West(3-5, 2-2) was behind 14-7 at the conclusion of the first quarter. Miami Central(6-1, 4-0) poured on 35 points during the second quarter and had a 49-7 halftime lead. The Rockets scored a touchdown each in the third quarter and fourth quarter for a 56-point margin. 

West Boca Raton Routs Deerfield Beach

     The West Boca Raton Bobcats pounded the Deerfield Beach Bucks 56-0 on Friday night at Butler Stadium. Both can possibly to make the FHSAA Playoffs. 
     West Boca Raton(6-1) were up 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Bobcats piled on 21 points during the second quarter and had a 35-0 halftome lead.
     A running clock was implemented for the second half. Deerfield Beach(4-4) gave up 21 more points and were down 56-0.

Palm Beach Lakes Takes Park Vista

     The Palm Beach Lakes Rams shut out the Park Vista Cobras 27-17 at G.L. Homes Stadium on Thursday night. It was a matchup between two Palm Beach County squads.
     Palm Beach Lakes(5-2) remain on the road and will challenge the Lake Worth Trojans next week. Park Vista(3-3) will host the Nova Titans from Broward County in a week.
