West Palm Beach Ratings April 2017
It was one of those months where the complexion between the two competitors in the Palm Beach County market was noticed. ESPN West Palm 106.3 WUUB-FM remained consistent while 640 Fox Sports South Florida WMEN-AM emerged with new changes in their lineup.
ESPN West Palm, who could not be measured because they do not subscribe to a ratings service, had evening co-host Chris Kokell leave his position as Olympic Heights head football coach and give his full attention toward the radio station. He has co-hosted the evening program with Joe Colella since January.
A new era began for 640 Sports as they moved from a 0.4 to a 0.5 in April. It was the first month since they changed to a sports format in March 2008 that they did not carry a local weekday show. They aired syndicated Fox Sports Radio which added Doug Gottlieb for afternoons during the ratings period. In addition, the station did not air regular season New York Yankees baseball games and were not an affiliate of the New York Yankees Radio Network for the first time since 2007.
