Heat Beat Bulls In Rescheduled Game

The Miami Heat topped the Chicago Bulls 116-113 at United Center on Thursday night. It was a rescheduled game from earlier this month. Both teams were to play back on January 8, however floor condensation issues postponed the game.
It was the first contest of three consecutive games between both clubs. They face each other tonight in Chicago along with Saturday and Sunday in Miami. The last time two NBA teams challenged each other in three straight regular season contests was the Baltimore Bullets and the Houston Rockets in 1972.
Miami(26-23) was able to lead 36-33 at the end of the first quarter. The Heat extended their lead to 62-51 by halftime.
Chicago(23-25) closed the lead to 91-85 by the conclusion of the third quarter. The Heat expanded their margin to double digits during the fourth quarter.
Norman Powell dropped in a club-high 21 points for Miami. Two players collected double-doubles in the contest. Bam Adebayo compiled 20 points and 12 rebounds while Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Ayo Dosunmu finished with a game-high 23 points coming off the bench for the Bulls. Nikola Vucevic picked up a double-double with 15 points along with 10 rebounds.
