There will be new classifications and new districts for Broward County high schools for the 2022 campaign. FHSAA has implemented a procedure to put schools by population size and close proximity.
There will two Class 4M districts in Broward County. Class 4M District 13 has Western, Cypress Bay, Taravella and Coral Glades. District 14 gets Flanagan, Cooper City, Somerset Academy and West Broward.
Broward County has four districts for Class 3M. District 11 has St. Thomas Aquinas, Dillard, Fort Lauderdale and Boyd Anderson. Plantation, South Plantation, Piper and Nova will be in District 12. Class 3M of District 13 consists of South Broward, McArthur, Hollywood Hills and Dade County school Dr. Krop. Miramar, Everglades, Pembroke Pines Charter and Dade County school American are in District 14.
There are two districts with smaller schools. Class 2M District 12 has American Heritage, Cardinal Gibbons, Hallandale and Stranahan. Class 1M District 6 is made up of high schools from three different counties which includes Chaminade-Madonna, St. John Paul II, Avant Garde and Somerset Bay.
