The Cincinnati Reds edged the Miami Marlins 2-1 on Tuesday night at loanDepot park. The Marlins, who lost their ninth straight home game, will try to prevent a three-game sweep by the Reds along with a 0-6 homestand on Wednesday.
In the first inning, Cincinnati(42-61) compiled two runs. Aristides Aquino singled through the right side for Nick Senzel and Kyle Farmer to score.
Miami(47-57) got their only run during the bottom of the sixth. Miguel Rojas hit a sacrifice fly to right field which brought in Charles Leblanc.
