Two of the top high school football programs in the country will face each other on Saturday as the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders travel up to the Army campus in West Point, New York and play the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen of Ramsey, New Jersey in a neutral site game. Both schools last met back in 2012 at Brian Piccolo Stadium in Fort Lauderdale where Aquinas fell 20-10.
St. Thomas Aquinas(1-0) has not played a game in the last two weeks. They pounded the defending FHSAA Class 5A champion American Heritage Patriots 35-7 at Sun Life Stadium.
Running back Jordan Scarlett will get most of the carries from the backfield while Deltron Sands and Khambrel St. Hubert look to get occasional rushes. Quarterback Jake Rizzo has numerous targets to throw to which include wide receivers Davante Peete, Sam Bruce and Jawuan Harris.
Don Bosco Prep(1-0) played in Philadelphia last week and defeated St. Joseph's Prep 35-7. They will be led on offense by quarterback Wes McKay who can run out of the pocket and throw the ball downfield. Defensive linemen Kevin Feder, Brandon Simon and Zack Chakonis look to stop the Raiders running game.
