The Miami Heat surprised the Boston Celtics 90-89 at TD Garden on Wednesday night. The Heat have been victorious in five of their last seven games. The Celtics entered the contest with the best record in the Eastern Conference.
Boston(26-8) rolled out to a 24-15 lead after one quarter and were up 44-36 at halftime. Miami(16-15) charged out in the second half with a 23-12 spurt, moved ahead 62-59 after three quarters and held off the C's in the fourth.
Kelly Olynyk burned his former team with a team-high 32 points and seven rebounds for Miami. Josh Richardson also contributed 19 points along with six assists for the Heat. Kyrie Irving dropped a game-high 33 points for the Celtics while Jaylen Brown added 16 points.
