The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Miami Heat 103-97 at Wells Fargo Center on Friday night. It was not as close throughout the game as the final score indicated.
Philadelphia(25-24) got out in front 24-23 after one quarter and extended their lead to 51-41 by halftime. The 76ers scored 19 unanswered points and were up 86-60 after three quarters. Miami(29-23) came back as they got 18 straight points and cut the margin to single digits 90-81. They came no closer than four points behind 101-97 with 24 seconds left in the contest.
Kelly Olynyk piled on 19 points and seven rebounds for the Heat while Bam Adebayo compiled a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Wayne Ellington also added 16 points and Josh Richardson got 12 points. Ben Simmons had a game-high 20 points for the Sixers and J.J. Redick popped in 13 points. Dario Saric put together a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
