Sports USA will have the terrestrial radio broadcast of the Florida Panthers season-opening game on October 8. The Cats take on the Boston Bruins to begin their 2024-25 campaign. The Panthers will be on a Sports USA National Hockey League game broadcast for the 28th time in five seasons.
The pregame on-ice ceremony will introduce the Stanley Cup to the crowd. It will be followed by the raising of the Panthers 2023-24 Stanley Cup championship banner to the rafters of Amerant Bank Arena.
The Panthers had 16 contests on Sports USA national radio in 2023-24. They included all seven games of the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers and six Eastern Conference Finals games versus the New York Rangers. Florida had two games on the radio airwaves when they challenged the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Semifinals and one contest battling the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
Sports USA had nine game broadcasts in the 2022-23 season of the Panthers. Florida had five Stanley Cup Final contests with the Vegas Golden Knights and four games of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes. Sports USA did air the 2023 NHL All-Star Game from Sunrise.
Florida was on national radio once each during the 2020-21 and the 2021-22 campaigns. The Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning played Game 4 of the 2021 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals and Game 3 of the 2022 Eastern Conference Semifinals in Tampa.
