Marlins Maul Blue Jays

The Miami Marlins bashed the Toronto Blue Jays 15-5 at Rogers Centre on Friday night. Both clubs are finishing up their seasons this weekend in a three-game series. Marlins manager Skip Schumaker announced after the games that he was leaving the team due to a family matter and would not manage again in 2024 and in the future.
Miami(60--100) roared out to a 5-0 lead with three runs in the first inning and two runs in the second inning. The Fish added another run in the top of the third for a six-run margin.
Toronto(74-86) answered with three runs in the bottom of the third. They surrendered three more runs in the top of the fourth and trailed 9-3. The Marlins later piled on five runs during the top of the seventh for a 14-5 advantage.
