Miami Edged By Iowa State In Pop-Tarts Bowl

     The Iowa State University Cyclones slipped by the University of Miami Hurricanes 42-41 in the Pop-Tarts Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Saturday. The Hurricanes finished the 2024 one on a three-game losing streak. The Canes were victorious in the first 10 games.   
     Miami(10-3) quarterback Cam Ward participated in just the first half of the contest. He set the NCAA Division 1 record with the most touchdown passes in a college career with 158 passing Case Keenum from the University of Houston. 
     The Hurricanes led 31-28 at halftime. The Canes made it 38-28 early in the third quarter with backup quarterback Emory Williams handing the ball off to running back Mark Fletcher Jr. on a one-yard touchdown run. 
     Iowa State(11-3) came back to win the game with 56 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Rocco Becht plunged through the middle of the line from one yard away.
