The Miami Heat slid by the Toronto Raptors 120-111 in overtime at Scotiabank Arena on Friday night. It was the first contest for both teams since the NBA All-Star Game break.
Miami(26-28) blasted out to a 30-19 lead by the end of the first quarter. They stayed ahead 57-48 at halftime.
Toronto(17-39) cut into the deficit and trailed 84-80 at the conclusion of three quarters. Both teams were tied 107-107 after four quarters. The Heat outscored the Raptors 13-4 in overtime.
Tyler Herro led with Miami with 28 points and seven assists. Andrew Wiggins was able to add 25 points for the Heat. Bam Adebayo contributed a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds.
RJ Barrett finished with a game-high 29 points for the Raptors. Immanuel Quickly was able to drop in 23 points.
