New York(28-25) raced out to a 28-15 lead after nine minutes of play, but the Heat scored seven straight points to close it to 28-22 after one quarter. Miami(29-24) had a 12-4 spurt to begin the second quarter, however the Knicks put in seven unanswered points at the end of the first half and led 51-48.
The Knicks extended their lead to 62-48 midway through the third quarter. The Heat came back with a 21-4 run to make it 69-66.
