FAU Falls In New Stadium Opener
After ten years of playing college football, Florida Atlantic University hosted and played their first on-campus stadium game in their history. FAU fell to Western Kentucky 20-0 on Saturday afternoon. The team had played all their home games over the past ten years at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The Owls opened their first five games on the road this season and were winless. Coach Howard Schnellenberger's team seemed lackluster throughout the entire game. They gave up two field goals in the first half and two touchdowns in the second half. Although their record dropped to 0-6, the Owls will host Middle Tennessee State in another Sunbelt Conference contest next Saturday night.
