WAXY Weekend Changes

In a staff meeting on Friday, WAXY-AM announced that they would make changes to their weekend lineup. The station was eliminating all local sports updates as of next weekend in favor of ESPN Radio programming. In addition, all part-time staff members would no longer do weekend sports talk shows and continue as weekday update anchors, producers and fill-in reporters. Brokered specialty weekend shows that included Craig Mish and Brendan Tobin will stay on the schedule. Talking Hardball with Warren Cromartie finished its final show of the season on Saturday and is uncertain if it will return in 2012.
