It will be a rematch from last year as the Boynton Beach Tigers travel down to Miami and challenge the Central Rockets on Friday night at Traz Powell Stadium in a FHSAA Class 6A regional quarterfinal. The Rockets defeated the Tigers 55-37 last year on the way to their second consecutive state championship and third in the last four seasons.
Boynton Beach(9-1) had a chance to win the District 15-6A title two weeks ago, however they fell to the Chargers in Hallandale and took the runner-up spot for the second straight year.
Lamar Jackson is at quarterback for the Tigers as he will execute their offense. Wide receivers Donte Sylencieux and Dieuly Aristilde are expected to be his main targets to throw the ball to downfield. Boynton Beach can have a slew of running backs rushing the ball with Zaire Ivory, Chauncey Mason, Zander Bernard and Jordan Galvan.
