The wait at 104.3 The Ticket finally ended as the Miami Heat returned to the station with several preseason games. They climbed from a 1.3 in September to a 1.5 for the ratings victory.
Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM had their momentum stopped after one month as they went from a 1.2 to a 0.9. A bad beginning by the Miami Hurricanes football team against Atlantic Coast Conference competition did not help matters and the Florida Panthers had their usual slow October start of the season.
After eight consecutive months of staying flat at a 0.2, Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM went up to a 0.3 in October. The good start by the Miami Dolphins and not having any more Miami Marlins game broadcasts this year had put that station on the plus side.
