The ratings came up for the holiday season for the Miami/Fort Lauderdale region and it seems to have almost no change in the numbers that appeared in the month of December. The holiday season consists of only a couple of weeks instead of a full month. None of the three stations anticipated any change of on-air personnel for January as they all did at this time last year.
104.3 The Ticket WAXY-FM remained the same as it did in December with a 1.6. They did have a full slate of Miami Heat broadcasts during the holiday season. Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM dropped slightly from a 0.9 to a 0.8 during the holidays. There was a smaller amount of University of Miami basketball broadcasts along with Florida Panthers broadcasts. Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM stayed flat at a 0.3 with the end of the Miami Dolphins season.
