Former Miami radio sports reporter LauRen Merola has joined WNKS-FM in Charlotte as a morning co-host. She was recently a sportscaster at ESPN 730 WZGV-AM outside of Charlotte.
Merola was once a reporter on the afternoon show The Finsiders on 940 WINZ-AM from the inception of that program in July 2010 until late 2011. She was once a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins from 2003 until 2006. Merola is part of the dance team for the Charlotte Hornets this season.
