The Fort Lauderdale Strikers played the defending NASL champions the San Antonio Scorpions on Wednesday night at Lockhart Stadium and they ended up tied O-O. Both teams faced each other in the 2Ol4 NASL title game.
It was the final home game for Fort Lauderdale[7-5-6] during the NASL fall season. The Strikers extended their margin to two points over the Tampa Bay Rowdies for the final playoff spot in the combined standings. The title reign for San Antonio[4-8-6] ended tonight and they will not qualify for the upcoming playoffs.
