The Coral Springs Colts host the South Plantation Paladins on Friday night. It is a non-district contest between both schools.
South Plantation(1-1) has not made the FHSAA playoffs in quite some time. They were shifted from Class 8A to Class 7A for this season and are in the same district at St. Thomas Aquinas, Plantation and Fort Lauderdale. The Paladins played their first two games at home as they topped Cypress Bay 24-14 and lost to Coconut Creek 41-14.
Coral Springs(2-0), who no longer has to deal with Deerfield Beach in the same district after over a decade, look to capture a district title in northern Broward County. The Colts began the 2019 campaign with two straight wins. They routed West Broward 38-6 in the season opener and then won last week at home against Nova 26-20.
