Inter Miami CF Slips By Toronto FC

Inter Miami CF edged Toronto FC 1-0 on Saturday at BMO Field. The Herons clinched the MLS Supporters' Shield back on Wednesday. They have one contest left in their 2024 regular season campaign and can set the Major League Soccer single-season record for most team points in a year.
There would be no scoring in the game until stoppage time in the second half. Inter Miami CF(21-4-8) moved ahead 1-0 over Toronto FC(11-19-4) when Leonardo Campana made a thigh trap and then volleyed the ball in from 11 yards away with his left foot. Luis Suarez initiated the play with a cross from the left side.
