Ichiro Suzuki Nominated For Baseball Hall Of Fame

     The Baseball Writers Association of America announced the 2025 nominees for the Baseball Hall of Fame. One of the players is former Miami Marlins outfielder Ichiro Suzuki. The BBWAA will made their announcement of the newest members to the Baseball Hall of Fame on January 21. 
     He played with the Marlins for three seasons from 2015 to 2017. Ichiro finished with a .256 batting average, .640 OPS, five home runs, 63 runs batted in and 22 stolen bases with Miami in 432 games. 
     Ichiro was in the majors from 2001 until 2019. He had stints with the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees and Miami Marlins. He was named the American League Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year in 2001. Ichiro helped Seattle set the American League record for most wins in a season that year. He finished with career marks of 3,089 base hits, 690 stolen bases and a .311 batting average.
