Marlins Handle Mariners

The Miami Marlins pushed by the Seattle Mariners 8-4 on Friday night at T-Mobile Park. Miami(12-13) made their longest plane trip this season to arrive in Seattle(14-12).
The Marlins began a six-game road swing on the west coast. They will finish the road trip in Los Angeles against the defending World Series champion Dodgers.
The Fish compiled a six-run fifth inning for a 6-1 advantage. It was capped by a two-run homer by Jesus Sanchez which was his first round-tripper of the year. The Mariners responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame.
Miami expanded it to 8-4 in the top of the seventh. Agustin Ramirez smashed his first home run in his Major League Baseball career. He became just the third player since 1901 with at least seven base hits and five extra base hits in his first three games in the majors.
