In the second period, the Panthers made it 2-0 at 2:01. Jonah Gadjovich touched a loose puck following a right-circle faceoff. A.J. Greer snapped a shot from the low right circle by Jeremy Swayman for his second goal of the 2025-26 campaign.

Middlestadt pushed a pass from the left of the crease and Morgan Geekie collected his third goal of the season on a wrist shot from the top of the crease.
The Cats moved ahead 4-3 with 26.5 seconds left in the period as Carter Verhaeghe chalked up his second goal of the campaign in a weird situation. His forehand shot from the inner left circle hit the right post. It bounced off the left foot of Andrew Peake in the low right circle and into the Boston net.
