The Heat, who have won seven straight home games, were coming off a six-game road trip. They are currently one game behind the Chicago Bulls for first place in the Eastern Conference.
Miami(27-15) pulled out to a 40-30 advantage after one quarter. Atlanta(17-24) overcame a 17-point margin in the first half and led 70-64 at halftime. It was the most points the Heat gave up in one quarter and one half of basketball this season.
The Hawks stayed in front 99-94 at the end of the third quarter. The Heat went on an 8-0 spurt in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter to get the win.
Tyler Herro led Miami with a game-high 24 points. Jimmy Butler compiled a double-double of 23 points along with 10 assists. P.J. Tucker dropped in 17 points while Max Strus added 16 points. Omer Yurtseven had 17 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Trae Young contributed a team-high 24 points and nine assists.
