Reds Speed By Marlins

The Cincinnati Reds passed by the Miami Marlins 7-4 at Great American Ball Park on Friday night. The Marlins, who have lost four straight games, continued their six-game road swing before the MLB All-Star Game break.
Cincinnati(46-49) rocketed out to the lead early in the contest. The Reds scored two runs in bottom of the first. Jonathan India led off with a solo homer to center field on a 0-1 pitch for his eighth home run of the year. Two batters later, Jeimer Candelario lifted a solo home run to right field on a 2-2 count for his 15th homer of the season.
It became 3-0 for the Red Legs during the second inning. Will Benson doubled into right field to score Rece Hinds.
The Reds added four more runs in the bottom of the third for a 7-0 lead. Hinds blasted his first career grand-slam homer and third home run of the campaign to right-center field on the first pitch. Candelario, Spencer Steer and Noelvi Marte scored in front of him on the play.
Miami(32-62) bounced back with three runs during the top of the fourth and trailed 7-3. Jesus Sanchez powered a three-run homer to right field on a 2-1 count with Xavier Edwards and Bryan De La Cruz aboard. The Marlins added another tally in the ninth inning.
