Canada Slips By Finland

     Team Canada squeezed by Team Finland 3-2 in overtime on Friday in the men's hockey semifinals at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy. The Canadians will challenge Team xxxxx in the goal medal game on Sunday. Finland will play for the bronze medal tomorrow. 
     Team Finland scored a shorthanded goal at the 3:26 mark of the second period to make it 2-0. Los Angeles Kings right wing Joel Armia cleared the puck out of the his zone. Former Florida Panthers left wing Erik Haula skated in on a breakaway and lifted a backhand shot from the top of the crease for the tally. 
     Team Canada picked up a power-play goal with 5:40 remaining of the second and cut it 2-1. Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid angled a pass from the right wing. Colorado Avalanche released a shot from the top of the zone and it was deflected in by Florida Panthers center Sam Reinhart from the crease area. 
     The Canadians took their first lead of the game 3-2 with 35.2 seconds left in the third on the power play. McDavid connected a cross-ice pass from the right-circle dot and Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon blasted a slap shot from the low left circle.
