United States Shuts Out Sweden

     Team USA blanked Team Sweden 1-0 in the men's hockey quarterfinals in Milan, Italy on Wednesday at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The United States advanced to the semifinal round and will challenge Team Slovakia on Friday. 
     There was no scoring in the opening frame. In the second period, the United States made it 1-0 with 8:57 remaining on a deflection in the crease area by Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin past former Florida Panthers goalie Jacob Markstrom.
